Our Mission
The Mission of the Economic and Workforce Development Department at Pierce
College is to serve the business community by providing services for improving
workforce skills for all levels in order for businesses to become more
productive and competitive in a global marketplace.
Company Summary
Services
that we deliver to our community include but are not limited to the
following:
Customized Training/Contract Education (see link for examples) We offer solutions for any size company.
Training can be provided for convenience at your company's site, on the college
campus, or at our
Pierce Business Center located
on the Pierce College campus.
Customized on-line training is also available.
We also offer more than
200 classes in on-line training to serve your employees needs for obtaining
training at their own convenience.
Interpreters/
translators are
available in over 150 different languages.
Pre-Employment Testing and Evaluation for prospective employees
Administering of
current testing or construction of new tests.
Evaluation of
company employee screening materials.
Assessment of
employees.
Special Classes
in areas such as Harassment Prevention and Security Guard Training to meet new
California State laws.
Au Pair Education -
Provided by Cultural Care Au Pair
In addition, the Department
operates the
Pierce Business Center,
located on the Pierce College campus.
