As the Pierce College Compliance Officer, I would like
to welcome you and invite you to contact my office. The Office of
College Compliance ensures Pierce College’s commitment to provide
a quality education, as well as, equal opportunity employment, to
all the communities it serves by maintaining an environment free
from harassment and discrimination.
The Compliance Officer is charged with ensuring development and
implementation of policies and procedures associated with state and
federal law, American with Disabilities Act, discrimination and sexual
harassment issues and provides oversight of federal compliance, including
monitoring recruitment, retention and promotion of diversity.
The Office investigates and resolves or recommends resolution of
discrimination complaints; serves as a resource to faculty on relevant
issues; and, coordinates employee support programs and faculty training
workshops.
