Priscilla Pulliam Taylor was born in Chicago, Illinois, but was reared in southern California. She began studying piano at age five with Lydia Jones, and later studied with Ethel Willard Putnam in Long Beach. At Brigham Young University she studied with Carl Fuerstner, with whom she also did some first performances of piano - four hands music. She has also studied voice with Guido and Louise Caselotti. She is a professional accompanist and chamber player and regularly conducts church choirs. In 1981 she was a nominee for California Mother-of-the-Year. She is currently working as a staff accompanist at Pierce College, and teaching piano privately in her home. |
