Stephen Piazza has performed with some of the classical music world’s brightest stars including Placido Domingo, Itzhak Perlman and Zubin Mehta. In addition to hundreds of local appearances as a member of the LA Opera Orchestra and the Long Beach Symphony, he has also performed frequently with the LA Philharmonic. He has given concerts in such internationally acclaimed venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Paris’s Theatre du Chatelet and Mexico City’s Palacio des Belles Artes. He can also be heard on the soundtracks of dozens of motion pictures and television shows as well as CDs with the Philharmonic, the Long Beach Symphony and the LA Chamber Orchestra. Besides serving as chair of the Pierce College Music Department, Professor Piazza also directs the summer Festival Wind Ensemble at the world-renowned Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts.
