Arline T. Golkin
Arline Golkin took the PhD in East Asian history at the University of Southern California. She has been teaching part-time at Pierce College since 1990 where she has had the opportunity to teach a full range of offerings, including a course on contemporary China. Professor Golkin research into problems associated with famine in China and international efforts designed to prevent and halt famine conditions has been published in articles, books and encyclopedias devoted to Chinese history.
