Description:
         A one unit lab course which may repeated up to three times in which the student undertakes the construction of an electronics project to gain practical experience in the physical aspects of circuit construction and prototype fabrication.  A student must complete two projects to obtain any electronics certificate and three projects to complete the requirements for an Associates Degree.

Helpful Text:        Groups B and C only:  Electronic Project Design and Fabrication, Fifth (or Sixth) Edition, Ronald A Reis, Prentice Hall, ISBN 0-13-019565-0.  This book contains several acceptable group B and C project instructions.

 

Procedures:          If you decide to stop taking a class it is your responsibility to officially drop it before the deadlines given in the class schedule.  If you do not take the time to drop and remain on the roll you will not be happy with the result: a failing grade.

 

Attendance:        This class is comprised of three different groups:

 

                              Group A:  Those Making a Project For the First Time

                              Group B:  Those Making a Project For the Second Time

                              Group C:  Those Making a Project For the Third Time

Class Time:        3:30-5:30pm there will be an open lab session for all groups.  This is a time when the instructor will be available and the lab is open for students to consult with the instructor and/or use the lab equipment to build or test their project, work on the written report, or use a computer for research.

 

                              5:40-6-40pm is official check in time for group progress checks.  Your  presence in class at this time on the dates given for your group, according to the calendar shown above, affects your grade.
