This is Casey’s fifth year with the Women’s Volleyball Program at Pierce College, and most recently assisted Nabil in winning his first State Championship in 2010 and another one in 2011. In 2003, after playing three seasons for Santa Monica Beach Club under head coach Nabil Mardini, Casey received a full-ride scholarship for volleyball to Cal Poly Pomona where she played four years and emerged as one of the team’s top players. Furthermore, she was the President of Cal Poly Pomona’s SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Council) her senior year and was the Publicity Director for two years.
Casey is also the current head coach of a 14 and under team with the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy. She moved into coaching soon after graduating, spending a pair of high successful season as an assistant of the elite-level 17-1’s squad, then two years as head coach of the 17-2’s. She moved into the younger levels in her fifth year, coaching successive seasons in the 13’s division before taking the reins of the South 14-1’s for LAVA Girls.
Casey was also a standout player for Saugus High School receiving all league honors. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with Bachelors of Arts in Behavioral Science.
