English 102 - College Reading and Composition II - Introduces types of literature.  Concentrates on reading for enjoyment, appreciation, and the development of critical judgment.  Emphasizes written analysis of short stories, poetry, novels, and drama.  Required for English majors. 
Accpted for credit at UC and CSU (CAN ENGL 4).

English 103 - Composition and Critical Thinking - Specifically designed to deal with the issues of critical thinking and written expression, it builds on the reading and writing skills developed in English 101.  Papers of greater length and depth are required.
