Brad is a graduate of La Crescenta High School where he played Basketball and Volleyball. In 1999, Brad joined the Men's Volleyball Team and became part of the 1999 State runner-up team where he earned All-League honors.
This is Brad Lyans' second year with the Women's Volleyball Program and fourth year with the Men's Volleyball Program. In 2006, he helped the Women's Volleyball Program at Pierce to its best finish ever in the history of the program (2nd in the State of California) and helped the Men's team reach the State Finals.
Brad has significant experience at the high school and club level. He coached several successful seasons as an assistant coach at Alemany High School. Currently Brad is the head coach of the 15 and under Division for Santa Monica Beach Club. His team was consistently ranked among the best of the SCVA (Southern California Volleyball Association) the last couple of years. His 2006 squad was a Division One contender and capped the year with a Sweet Sixteen finish at the Volleyball Festival. Most recently, his 2007 season squad reached the Finals at the Volleyball Festival (the best finish ever for a Santa Monica Beach Club team).
